The variant matrix of fashion e-commerce
Bed and Beyond sells pyjamas and loungewear in its own prints.
In textiles a product is never a single line. If the same pyjama set comes in five sizes and three colours, there are fifteen separate stock items behind it, and each runs out independently. A customer should see that their size is gone on the product page, not at the checkout.
This is directly tied to how the catalogue is built. If the variant structure is set up wrongly at the start, fixing it later means reworking the entire product dataset.
The infrastructure we built
The site was built on WordPress and WooCommerce. The product structure was designed to carry the size and colour breakdown, so which combination is in stock is visible directly on the product page.
Collection and season logic were written into the catalogue. Because fashion ranges are refreshed constantly, publishing a new collection can be done without technical support.
Payment, shipping and e-invoicing. Virtual POS provided the payment infrastructure, shipping integration covered dispatch and tracking, and e-invoice integration automated invoicing. Return rates in textiles are higher than in other categories, which makes a properly working shipping side the foundation of the whole operation.
Presentation and advertising
In fashion, the buying decision is largely made on the image. The page structure was designed to put product photography first without dragging down page speed.
Tracking infrastructure was set up and we run Meta ad management. In this category Instagram is the main channel where product discovery happens.
The SEO and GEO work focuses on keeping product and collection pages in a searchable structure.
Server and maintenance
Server management and regular maintenance are on our side: updates, backups and performance monitoring run continuously.
Ongoing work
The project started in 2021 and continues.
