Scan Authorization Terms

These terms govern your use of the free website security scanner (the “Tool”) offered on zeisoft.com by Zeisoft Yazılım Limited Şirketi (MERSIS: 0997199821900001, Urla, İzmir, Türkiye; “Zeisoft”). By ticking the authorization box and clicking the verification link sent to your email address, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms.

1. Authorization statement

By starting a scan you represent and warrant that:

  1. You own the domain you entered and the subdomains under it, or you have the owner’s explicit permission to have them security scanned.
  2. If you act for a company or organisation, you are authorised to represent it in this matter and to bind it to these terms.
  3. You have checked that the terms of the hosting, cloud or content delivery providers serving the site allow this scan.
  4. The information you provide is accurate and your authorization remains valid for the duration of the scan.

If you are not authorised, do not start a scan. Scanning a system you do not own without permission may be a criminal offence under applicable law, including Articles 243 and following of the Turkish Penal Code.

2. Ownership verification

A scan starts only after a verification link sent to an email address on the scanned domain is confirmed. Addresses at free email providers are not accepted. This verification does not replace your authorization statement; you remain responsible for its accuracy.

3. Scope and limits of the scan

  1. The scan covers the domain you entered, its www and non-www, http and https versions, and subdomains found in public records.
  2. The scan runs over the internet against publicly reachable addresses and looks for known vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
  3. No brute force or default-password attempts, fuzzing or tests that could disrupt the service are run. The request rate is limited.
  4. If a scanned address stops responding during the scan, the scan is stopped automatically.
  5. Scan traffic appears in your server logs as “ZeisoftSecurityScanner”.

Despite these safeguards, any network scan can create log entries, trigger firewall or intrusion detection alerts or, rarely, affect performance on the target systems. By starting a scan you accept this possibility.

4. Zeisoft’s rights

Zeisoft may refuse any scan request without giving reasons, stop a scan in progress, and change or discontinue the Tool. Domains of large high-traffic platforms and public authorities are out of scope.

5. Records and personal data

To keep the service secure and to evidence your authorization statement, electronic records of the scan request and its confirmation are kept (email address, domain, date and time, connection details and this version of the text you accepted). These records may be used as evidence in a dispute and are kept for the applicable statutory limitation periods. Scan results are sent only to the verified email address and are not shared with third parties, except with competent authorities where required by law.

6. Nature of the results

Scan results are for information only. They rely on information visible from outside and on known vulnerability definitions, and may include false positives or false negatives. A result with no findings does not mean your site is secure. Verify on your systems any change you make based on the results.

7. Liability

  1. You bear all civil and criminal liability arising from an untrue authorization statement or a breach of these terms, and you agree to indemnify and hold Zeisoft harmless from any claims, proceedings and costs brought against it as a result.
  2. The Tool is free and provided “as is”. Except for intent, gross negligence and cases where the law does not allow liability to be limited, Zeisoft is not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Tool.

8. Changes

Zeisoft may update these terms. Each scan is governed by the version in force when it was requested; the version you accepted is kept in our records.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İzmir have jurisdiction over any dispute.
